FAQ’s

What does owning a franchise actually mean?

Owning a franchise means being in business for yourself but not being by yourself. Our company licences its brand and proven business methods to a select group of Avant Franchise Partners across the UK. We have a team of central support staff who will assist our Avant Franchise Partners to develop their business whilst monitoring the quality is upheld. Our team will also provide advice and support to guide our Avant Franchise Partners in running their business. This is especially helpful in the first few years of trading.

Do I need to have a background in Care?

No. There is no requirement for an Avant Franchise Partner to have previously worked within the Care Sector. More importantly, you must have the desire and be driven to want to manage a successful business and have an empathetic approach. Where the Avant Franchise Partner is without experience within the Care Sector, they must maintain at least one office staff member who has documented evidence of experience within the Care Sector and will be the Registered Manager.

Is it possible to finance part of the capital cost?

Yes. We have negotiated a financial package with a number of High Street Banks subject to franchisees’ individual status. With the support we have also arranged through Franchise Finance Ltd, a detailed business plan to support any submission to the bank is created for all prospective Avant Franchise Partners.

What is the Franchise Management Fee and how is it calculated?

The Franchise Management Fee is 5.0% of the franchise business turnover, net of VAT and is paid monthly. This provides franchisees with on-going support and advice for the duration of the licence agreement.

Are there any other on-going fees?

There is a fixed monthly Pay Per Click and Search Engine Optimisation fee. This will be used by us to undertake online marketing for the benefit of our franchise network and further develop the brand.

Are the projected earnings guaranteed?

The projected earnings are a realistic estimate of what an Avant Franchise Partner can – earn. We have based all our figures on our own experience in the sector over the last 20 years. Successful Avant Franchise Partners can earn in excess of the projections, however, the ultimate success is down to each individual.

What training is provided?

We provide initial training in the operation of the system and the rules, regulations, and standards, methods and operating procedures of an Avant Business. The initial training lasts up to 2 weeks and we will also provide additional initial online, telephone or on-site support and assistance in the territory for the first three trading months above the normal support and advice covered by the Franchise Management fee. You will also be given on-going training and mentoring during the franchise licence period.
