Multiple sclerosis, or MS, is a long-lasting disease that can affect your brain, spinal cord, and the optic nerves in your eyes. It can cause problems with vision, balance, muscle control, and other basic body functions.
When an individual is diagnosed with MS it can be a shattering experience. Life will never be the same again. The future may look bleak – career in doubt, relationships threatened, hopes drained and plans on hold. But it needn’t be this way. For many individuals life goes on as normal.
We train our care and support workers in caring and supporting individuals and families coping with multiple sclerosis in Worcester. We utilise the MS Society for training and assisting us in further developing our services. Many of our care and support workers have had a great deal of experience supporting individuals with Multiple Sclerosis.
