In care, the best way to measure whether you are doing a good job is if your clients are happy; that’s why receiving feedback is so important.
The team at Avant Worcester were pleased to receive outstanding feedback through their recent client survey, with 100% of those asked saying that they are happy with Avant’s service. All respondents also said that they feel the Care Workers are well trained and that the office has been available to resolve any issues or concerns.
One of the ways the Care Quality Commission looks at the quality of care being delivered is ‘The Mum Test’. Andrea Sutcliffe, Chief Inspector of Adult Social Care at the CQC, describes it as follows: “To make sure our regulatory approach is truly personalised I want us to consider for every service we look at — is this good enough for my Mum (or any other member of my family)? If it is, that is fantastic. If it’s not, then we need to do something about it.” Bearing this in mind, the Avant Worcester team were thrilled to have 100% of respondents say they would be extremely likely to recommend Avant’s services to family and friends.
We rely on the feedback of our clients to improve and refine our service, through regular client surveys and by encouraging clients and their families to share their thoughts about the care that is delivered. Avant Head Office recently received the following letter from the daughter of a client, describing the care her mother has received.
“I would like to give a big compliment to the Manager [and my mother’s three Care Workers] for their hard work – they were professional as usual. [My mother] was impressed by the carers, especially Jatinder who gave me advice regarding my mother’s commode. Great job.”
